30,000 Runners Expected at Hari Sukan Negara Flagship Events, CheckPointSpot® Named Official Timing Partner
Appointment reinforces the company’s growing role in delivering race technology for Malaysia’s largest endurance events.
Hari Sukan Negara has become one of Malaysia’s biggest annual celebrations of sport, bringing together communities across the country through thousands of sporting activities each October. This year, CheckPointSpot® has been appointed the Official Timing Partner for HSN Putrajaya 2026 and the Sharp HSNKL Half Marathon 2026, supporting two of the flagship running events held in conjunction with the nationwide initiative.
Together, the two events are expected to welcome approximately 30,000 participants, highlighting the continued growth of recreational running and endurance sports in Malaysia. HSN Putrajaya 2026 will be held on 10–11 October at Dataran Putrajaya, while the Sharp HSNKL Half Marathon 2026 takes place on 25 October at Dataran Merdeka, Kuala Lumpur. Both events are organised by Pure Events.
As the Official Timing Partner, CheckPointSpot® will provide race timing technology, live results and race data management for the competitive categories, helping organisers deliver accurate results while providing runners with a seamless race experience. Participants can also register for both events through the CheckPointSpot platform, offering an additional registration channel alongside the organisers’ existing platforms.
“Every successful race relies on more than what happens on the course,” said Benjamin Yeow, Group CEO of CheckPointSpot®. “Behind every finish line is a strong race technology ecosystem that supports organisers, runners and event operations. We’re grateful to Pure Events for the opportunity to support both HSN Putrajaya 2026 and the Sharp HSNKL Half Marathon 2026, ensuring reliable race timing and race data so organisers can focus on delivering memorable race experiences.”
The appointment reflects a broader trend across Malaysia’s endurance event industry, where organisers are increasingly adopting integrated race technology to support growing participation, improve operational efficiency and enhance the overall participant experience. For CheckPointSpot®, it also strengthens the company’s portfolio of major endurance events as it continues building a connected race technology platform across Southeast Asia.
