CheckPointSpot® Expands ASEAN Race Technology Network Through Exclusive Myanmar Partnership
The partnership builds on successful race timing deployments in Mandalay and Yangon and creates a local pathway for introducing CheckPointSpot’s integrated race technology ecosystem to organisers across Myanmar.
CheckPointSpot® has appointed IM3 Holdings Co., Ltd. as its exclusive race technology partner in Myanmar, expanding the company’s regional network and strengthening its ability to support endurance event organisers across Southeast Asia.
Formalised through CheckPointSpot Pte Ltd, the company’s Singapore subsidiary, the partnership brings together CheckPointSpot®’s regional technology capabilities and IM3 Holdings’ local market knowledge and operational expertise.
Under the partnership, IM3 Holdings will exclusively represent CheckPointSpot®’s race timing solutions in Myanmar, with the company’s broader suite of digital race technologies to be introduced progressively to local organisers.
Global Momentum Behind Sports Tourism
The partnership follows CheckPointSpot®’s successful return to Myanmar earlier this year, when the company delivered professional race timing services for the Yoma Mandalay International Marathon and Yoma Yangon International Marathon.
Together, the two events attracted more than 10,000 runners and provided an opportunity for CheckPointSpot® and IM3 Holdings to work alongside each other under live event conditions.
The successful deployments demonstrated how CheckPointSpot’s technology and operational standards could be combined with IM3 Holdings’ understanding of the local event environment. This established the foundation for a longer-term collaboration.

Combining Regional Technology with Local Capability
Through the new partnership, organisers in Myanmar will gain local access to CheckPointSpot®’s race technology capabilities, beginning with professional race timing and results services.
As the market develops, both companies plan to introduce additional solutions from CheckPointSpot®’s integrated ecosystem, including digital registration, participant engagement, race verification and event data services.
This approach allows CheckPointSpot® to provide consistent technology and service standards while working through a partner that understands Myanmar’s event environment, organiser requirements and endurance sports community.
“The endurance sports industry is becoming increasingly regional. Organisers are looking for technology partners that can support events consistently across different countries while delivering the same high standards of service and technology,” said Benjamin Yeow, Group CEO of CheckPointSpot® Group.
“Myanmar represents an important milestone in our ambition to build an integrated ASEAN race technology network anchored from Malaysia. By working with a strong local partner, we can combine regional technology capabilities with the market knowledge and operational support needed to serve organisers effectively.”
Phyo Myint Han, Managing Director of IM3 Holdings Co., Ltd., said the partnership would provide Myanmar organisers with access to more comprehensive race technology solutions.
“This partnership is about more than race timing. It gives organisers in Myanmar access to a broader technology ecosystem, from digital registration and participant engagement to professional timing and race analytics.
“We believe this collaboration will contribute meaningfully to the continued development of Myanmar’s endurance sports industry and help organisers deliver better experiences for their participants.”
Building a Connected ASEAN Network
CheckPointSpot®’s regional strategy combines a common technology platform with strong local partnerships. This allows the company to maintain consistent technology and data standards while adapting its services to the operating realities of individual markets.
The Myanmar partnership builds on CheckPointSpot®’s existing activities and partnerships across Malaysia, Singapore, Cambodia and Laos, further advancing its vision of a connected race technology ecosystem for ASEAN.
The collaboration is already moving into its next phase. IM3 Holdings has secured race timing contracts for the SCSC Half Marathon in October and a triathlon event in December 2026, with discussions underway for additional events.
These upcoming deployments will provide further opportunities for both companies to introduce professional race technology standards and support the continued growth of mass-participation endurance events in Myanmar.
